Fall is for baking

A few days before the weekend Sofia Mel surprised me with their 3 types of bio flours.  

Their package quickly became a challenge for me, because the day before we talked about fall being the season for baking at home.  

So the cracker recipe from spelt flour, that I found in the package, went straight to my to do list for a calmer evening.



I found time to get in the kitchen amongst my last exam, my hypnosis course, work and packing my bags for my next adventure!

I admit I have never tried baking with spelt flour before (wheat and rye know me well ;)), it turns out that it’s not hard, nor it is time consuming.

The result was great - super tasty crackers I love to dip into hummus, so I just couldn’t keep them only to myself…


Here’s the recipe for the spelt crackers:

100 ml water

2 g sea salt

210 g spelt flour

sea salt, seeds for sprinkling



Add the sea salt in the water to dissolve. 

Add the salty water to the flour and make the dough. 

Make it really thin and form your crackers (mine didn’t end up looking the prettiest, but they were super tasty :D). 

Put them on a tray with baking paper, sprinkle with seeds (if you’d like) and put them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes or till they’re golden brown.


Et voilà - consume with a smile and with your loved ones!
